The Poco C50 just went official in India and it will go on sale on January 10 in Royal Blue and Country Green. Previously announced as Redmi A1+, the Poco C50 is built around a 6.52-inch IPS LCD of 720x1600px resolution, refreshing at a standard 60Hz.
The Poco C50 runs Android 12 (Go Edition) with a layer of MIUI for POCO on top. It uses a MediaTek Helio A22 12nm chipset with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage that’s expandable through the microSD card slot.
The Poco C50 promises great endurance thanks to a 5,000mAh battery, although it charges pretty slowly at 10W.
There are two cameras on the back, one is a depth sensor, while the other is an 8MP f/2.0 wide camera. There’s also a fingerprint scanner on this side. On the front, there’s a 5MP selfie camera.
The Poco C50 features a leather-like texture on the back panel. The phone is splash-resistant thanks to a special coating.
A couple of models are live on Flipkart – the 2/32GB one is nominally INR 6,499 but will launch at a special introductory price of INR 6,249, and a 3/32GB version that’s INR 7,299 but will launch at INR 6,999. The first sale is on January 10.
